Auto-Unlock on Wyze Lock

You can Lock or unlock your door from anywhere using the Wyze app. This Wyze Lock connects to your WiFi via the included Wyze Lock Gateway. It enables auto-lock and auto-unlock to never have to think about keys or codes again. And also Wyze lock is certified for Humans.  Nowadays, smart homes are made easy for non-experts. Wyze lock setup with Alexa is simple.

Wyze Lock lets you easily share access to your home with family, friends, contractors, dog walkers, and really, whoever you want. And, you can see a history of the lock and unlock events. The smart Wyze Lock gives you complete control of who has access to your home Door position detection. Especially, Wyze Lock not only tells you the lock status but also if the door is open or closed. Wyze locks are unlike other locks, These locks have a built-in gyroscope to know the position of the door. And, No need for separate sensors.

Keyless door entry:

Simply walk up to your front door and have it unlock automatically and then lock behind you once you’re inside.

( Purchase Wyze Lock Keypad and Wyze Cam separately for added security and surveillance. This works with your current key and deadbolt.)

 

What is Auto-Lock and Auto-Unlock?

Wyze Lock makes leaving & entering your smart home less stressful with the auto-unlock feature every time you return home. The smart Wyze Lock knows when you arrive at your smart home and automatically unlocks as you approach the door. Once inside, The smart Wyze Lock detects when the door automatically locks and closed behind you.

Wyze lock has remote access to control your lock with the Wyze app, and auto-locking when your door is closed. It even works with Google Assistant and Alexa!

 

Wyze Lock Auto Unlock Troubleshooting

You may need to reset the device by repeating the Auto Unlock setup, depending on what is causing the Auto Unlock to fail. However, we recommend that you try the troubleshooting steps in this section before repeating the setup process to fix your Auto Unlock feature.

Please keep in mind that the Auto-Lock and Auto-Unlock features are only available when your phone is connected. If you try to use either feature on a tablet or another device, you will be unable to do so.

Check The Wyze App Settings

If you have the Wyze Auto Lock tab open on your phone, you won’t be able to use the Auto Unlock feature until you close it. Back to the Home screen to exit the Auto-Lock tab. This will enable the Auto Unlock command on your device.

Also, double-check that your Auto Unlock settings are enabled and in the correct location. On the Lock device screen, this setting can be found under the gear icon.

Power Cycle Your Phone And Bluetooth Connection

Reestablishing the network connection to the Lock, power cycling, or rebooting your phone may resolve the issue with your Auto Unlock. It’s also best to turn off your phone’s Bluetooth and wait a few minutes before turning it back on. To use Auto Unlock, Motorola users may need to turn on the GPS feature.

Change The Batteries

Your Lock may not have enough power to engage when prompted by the Auto Unlock command if the batteries in the Lock are damaged or low on power. Many Wyze Lock device issues can be resolved by changing the batteries.

Keep in mind to replace all four batteries when changing them. When old and new batteries are used in the same device, the device may be damaged and injury may result if leakage occurs.

Create A Trigger

You can create a Device Trigger using the Wyze App Rule feature to run Auto Unlock when your phone comes within range, as well as perform other automatic functions for your Lock and other Wyze devices.

Follow the steps below to set up a Device Trigger:

    1. Firstly, Select Home
    2. Then select the plus (+) sign in the upper left corner
    3. Select Add Rule
    4. And, Select Device Trigger
    5. Follow the in-app instructions/guidance to create your Device Trigger

 

Auto Unlock Setup Instructions

If troubleshooting does not fix the issue, you may need to go through the Auto Unlock setup process again. Before you begin, make sure the Wifi, Bluetooth, and Location features are all turned on.  turn off Battery Saving Mode on your phone to keep the app from turning off before setup is completed.

    1. First, Select the Wyze Lock on the App Home screen
    2. Next, select the gear icon to open Lock Settings
    3. Then, Select Auto Unlock
    4. Select The Auto Unlock Toggle
    5. After, Select Home Location
    6. When setup is complete, the app will notify you
